What is personal data?

We treat any data that relates to an identifiable individual that is linked or linkable to you by BreathTec as “personal data”. Meaning that data that directly identifies you such as your name is classed as personal data. This Privacy notice covers how BreathTec handles personal data when you interact with us on our website.

What personal data does BreathTec use?

We only store information that you provide within our BreathTec service. This is a small amount of identifiable personal information such as first name and email address, along with any other non-sensitive data added by yourself within the BreathTec service. We do not need to know your date of birth, address or NHS number. We will collect your mobile number if you wish to have reminder texts from us.

We automatically collect and store certain types of information about your usage within the website, including your interaction with the content on it. We use cookies to make our website securely function. Please read our Cookie Policy for more details.

BreathTec will not disclose or pass on any personal data to any third party. In the unlikely event that the website provider is sold or integrated into another business, your details may be disclosed to the new owners only for the purposes of maintaining the supply of services if that is appropriate.

To protect against unauthorised access to your account, we recommend that each user uses a completely unique password to any other they have used before as their BreathTec account password. We also recommend changing your password every 30 days.

We are committed to protecting your privacy but cannot guarantee the security of information disclosed by you online since the internet is not a secure medium. Please be careful and responsible when maintaining the secrecy of any password and/or account information.

We aim to hold information for no longer than necessary.  We will keep anonymised data for audit and research purposes.
